The Daintree Ferry Birdon

Pre-purchase Tickets Online

You can pre-purchase your Daintree Ferry ticket for easy boarding. Simply select the appropriate ticket type and you will receive a unique QR code that our team will scan and validate when you board the ferry. We recommend purchasing 24 hours in advance.

Ticket Pricing

Fares are set by Douglas Shire Council and are updated annually on 1 July. Tickets are valid for travel within the current fee period (until 30 June).

Douglas Shire Council have confirmed the following Daintree River Ferry Fares. The new fares will come into effect on the 1st of July 2026.

Some key information to be aware of:

  • If your ticket was purchased under a previous fee period, you will be required to pay the difference at time of travel.

  • Tickets are the responsibility of the passenger once purchased. Lost, damaged or illegible tickets, unused return vouchers, and unused travel are non‑refundable. Online tickets can be re‑downloaded using the link in your confirmation email.

Vehicle limits & special loads

Oversized vehicles and special loads may require additional instructions for safe loading. If you’re travelling with an oversize vehicle, heavy equipment, or carrying gas/fuel, please contact our team on daintreeferry.feedback@birdon.com.au before arrival.
